Before and After

Luke, what can I say about Luke?
He melts my heart a hundred times a day.
And I spent the whole day yesterday gazing at this picture.
(Try to view it full screen if you can.
His eyes are incredible!)

Leif is the cutest one year old on the planet.
(Certainly I can't just be prejudiced.)
But a little editing can even do his picture justice. I rarely change Levi's pictures to sepia tone because of his amazing blue eyes.
But this drama fits his personality perfectly! Ilex looks beautiful no matter the picture.
But why not try something fun?
Nice picture, but a bit dull and gray.
A little more pizazz, don't ya think?

This is one of my favorite pictures of Luke,
but I was disappointed in how washed out it looked.
Not anymore.
Or the handsome guy in sepia.
I am sure I'm breaking all sorts of rules with my editing, but it is so much fun to experiment. Sometimes I like the pictures to be sharper and more realistic. Sometimes I like extra color saturation, just for fun. Or a high-contrast sepia tone. Sure, why not? All I know is that I no longer wonder what I might do if I had gobs of free time.

My camera came... Glory be to God! I think I peed my pants a little when I was opening the box.

I have not downloaded the software yet, but will tonight.

You know you can edit into sephia and bw and some other stuff directly on your camera? It is sweet!

PS...your pics are beautiful, but I think your subjects have something to do with the outstanding shots!

You probably posted this before, but what camera do you have and what are you using to edit? (Or, you can just say, "Ree's stuff" and I'll get it! lol)

Thanks, girls. :)

Caralyn~ I wish I had all of Ree's stuff, and her Photoshop know-how/talent. :) I'm using a Nikon D50 with Nikon Editor. Only a limited number of edit features, but it is sooooo much more simple than photoshop and a good place for me to start!

Oh, and Country Girl, I'm waiting to see the photos!!

Beautiful pictures of beautiful faces! I know 2 little gems who would love to play in snow! They've never experienced a big snow! We're praying we get some this year! I'm sure you'd give us some if you could!LOL

Katherine~ The combination of kids and snow is magical. :) We actually get very little snow at our house. Growing up (just down the road) it seems like we usually got at least one big snow each winter, but we haven't had much for years now. I love living where we do, though, because we can get to snow all winter within an hour or less. :) That way, we don't have to run errands or get to work in the snow... or shovel sidewalks...
