A New Adventure

Simple Mom has been a favorite cyber-stop of mine for a long time.
Her posts are encouraging, informative, helpful, and inspirational.
(Simple Kids has also been inspiring parents for over a year.)
Today, Simple Mom launches three new blogs:

and.....

This is the beginning of an exciting new adventure for me, also,
as a contributing writer for Simple Homeschool.
Click on one of the links above or the button on my side bar to head on over for a visit.

Congratulations!

I took your son's reading list from last year and used it to order several from our library system. Our closest library doesn't have everything I want. but since I requested everything, I got 19 books in for my just-turned 8-year-old. Many were from your son's list, some were from my Amazon wish list that just haven't been able to make it into my cart, and some were more books by the same author. My daughter is so excited, and I am glad to have foun her some longer works of fiction than she's been reading--that still interest her. I'm a historical fiction fan, but she loves fantasy, and I really needed some new ideas. Thanks!

Hey Heidi...not sure if this is the best way to get a note to you~ You list so much reading on your blog, I wondered if you could direct me to a good poem or book or site on the internet for my son Drew (almost 9). He needs to memorize and recite a poem for our co-op group on Wednesday. Hope you're feeling better lately. You can email or facebook me, whatever works :) Thank you! ~Tera

Tera~ I really like the book The Harp and the Laurel Wreath for poetry and memorization suggestions. I don't know if you library might have it. Other than that, here is a site online with quite a few classical poems to choose from: http://www.storyit.com/Classics/JustPoems/index.htm. Not sure exactly what type of poem might suit him best, but you can browse around and see if one of those might work.
