My Favorite Lesson

Cookies @ Mt. Hope Chronicles

[Speaking of integration…] I love the TED-Ed animated videos, and this one is no exception. I think we should experiment with this lesson daily. We’ve tried it twice already this school year. I made the above cookies last week and Luke made scrumptious oatmeal craisin cookies this week. Mmmmmmmmm.

Julie Z. ~ The oatmeal cookie recipe is the one on the Quaker Oats box, but he used craisins instead of raisins. Here is the chocolate chip cookie recipe (pictured):

Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup softened butter
3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 egg
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2+ cups chocolate chips
1+ cup craisins (optional, pictured)

Preheat oven to 375. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add vanilla, almond, and egg. Beat well. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Add chocolate chips and craisins. Mix well. Bake cookies for 10-15 minutes.
