Your distance learning program sounds like quite a resource (and after one of your more recent posts or FB comments, I now understand how you have the curriculum budget you do! ;-))Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11034180396689442335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5750282299627894194.post-84574960350970942682013-03-05T22:25:37.793-08:002013-03-05T22:25:37.793-08:00Hannah~ Our original group took a break over the h...Hannah~ Our original group took a break over the holidays and I was having a rough time getting back into the swing of things after the first of the year. An opportunity came up for me to lead a group weekly for four weeks in a row. It is with our distance learning program, but several of the students overlap from our original group. We went over the basics again to introduce the new students to the concepts and review for the other kids. I'm just reading picture books at the meetings (a different one each week) and discussing them. No chapter books. I really want to start monthly Book Detectives meetings again. Maybe it's just the thought of cleaning my house... Ha! I enjoyed A Year with Miss Agnes when I read it a while back.Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05878817427434603915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5750282299627894194.post-46495837940744923632013-03-05T20:41:15.521-08:002013-03-05T20:41:15.521-08:00Just curious, since we're still chugging along...Just curious, since we're still chugging along with the TX branch of BD, how does this group relate (in purpose and composition) to the group you originally started? And you said "a few weeks" ... Are you meeting weekly now?

P.S. Our last selection was A Year with Miss Agnes ... a gem of a book. I'll have to look up the one you suggested here, as we are always batting around ideas!Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11034180396689442335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5750282299627894194.post-78671723183974164702013-03-04T15:52:09.193-08:002013-03-04T15:52:09.193-08:00I loved using that book when I was teaching.
