These are great Heidi....do you have to do much editing in Photoshop/Picnik with your camera? I'm looking to get a DSLR for the first time and am leaning toward the Nikon...still thrilled with yours? Between you and The Pioneer Woman I think I'm sold on the Nikon :-) Unfortunately the talent will always lie with the photographer, but the camera *should* help me, right? LOL
I LOVE these photos, and I LOVE that you are at the Oregon Coast Museum, because I just plain LOVE Oregon!! :)I especially like the last photo with boy and grandpa? looking through the same telescope... SO precious.Amy in Peruhttp://apilgrimsproject.blogspot.com
Lovely photos!!! Full of fun :o)!
Fun! How do you plan for your field trips? Do you plan months in advance? Do you have a field trip day set aside and plan where/what at the last minute? Do you try to coordinate with what you're studying, or if that happens is it just a happy coincidence? I'm trying to get a better grasp on how to "do" field trips. Thanks!Elaine
Jodi P. ~ A new camera? What fun! I do really like my Nikon. How much editing I do really depends on the photo. Sometimes the lighting is bad or the photos turn out grayish and I have to add some warmth to them....Amy in Peru~ Yep. That's my son and my Dad in that last photo. It's my favorite, too. :)Elaine~ All of the above, LOL. Some things are more scheduled like the Evergreen class days, Hult Center performances (the last one was cancelled, though, waaaaahhhhh!!), the Children's Performing Arts series, etc. Other trips (like the old flour mill and the aquarium) we just work in as we can...often at the last minute. :) I, of course, prefer if they correspond with what we are learning. Or I try to get books or movies ahead of time that will expand on what we will or did learn on the field trip. Other times, we just go and get what we can.
Sweet photos, Heidi. I enjoy checking in at your blog from time to time. You are a talented photographer and inspiring homeschool mom. Thanks for sharing a bit of your days with us on here! =)
I always love your photos because I feel as though I've seen the magic and had the fun myself rather than vicariously. That last photo is SO precious.
