An Anniversary Party

Img2013-07-07_0013rs

I shared a bit about my grandparents, their 5 week summer visit in July, and their anniversary back in this quick post, but I want to share a bunch of pictures today. We sat in the garden and listened to my grandparents tell the story about how they met and got married. This is family at its best, people. And I couldn’t help but share a gazillion photos, because I loved every facial expression. (If you could only see how many I’m not posting…)

Oh, the photo of your grandmother leaning in and them smiling at each other! I want to look like that with my husband after being married all those years. Thanks for sharing your pictures!

Heidi, I've been reading your blog for years and don't think I've ever commented but I have to let you know how gleeful I am whenever you post about your grandparents. I love all that you have shared about them and just seeing their smiling faces puts a smile on MY face. Thank you!

Love those photos of your grandparents! They remind me a little bit of how I met a 90-year-old woman yesterday at the retirement home who has been married to her husband for 65 years. He's 94, and he lives in a separate retirement home nearby where he can enjoy a greater degree of independent (i.e., less assisted) living! What a hoot!
