Tuesday

Today dawned cold, drizzly, and dreary. Truthfully, I'm not completely sure about that as I wasn't up at dawn, but I'm pretty sure it was cold, quite wet, and dreary. I decided this would be a good week to move to the Bahamas. Instead, I made another batch of scones and braved the wet two miles to take them to Mom and Shan at Poet's Garden.

I ask you, how can anyone be downcast at this
little piece of earth? Even if it is cold and raining.

Ahh. Inside. Even Better.

On our way out...

Life goes on.

An excuse to be fierce:
In search of mud puddles instead of getting in the truck:
A three-year old who loves to help mom
drive up the driveway:
Escaping again. Must have needed some quiet time.
I think this is a good night to turn in early.

What a piece of paradise that Poet's Garden looks like. I can't think of a better way to start one of those dreary days than with some freshly baked scones.

I also wanted to let you know that I have just awarded you the "You Make My Day Award". Please come and see via my blog.

Just found your blog through a link at Monkey Hugs, and am leaving feeling so refreshed. What a lovely life you are creating for your family. I will definitely be back to read more and be inspired.
Blessings!

It's been far too long since I've been to Poet's Garden! We'll be in Oregon for Christmas this year, so I'm sure I'll be heading there with my mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law (we go there together for Christmas when we're all together).
