Living. Lovely. ~ Be Silly

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.

~e.e. cummings

So, did you take time to

Be Silly

This week?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll be honest and admit that this was a tough challenge for me this week. I'm tired, and the boys are going crazy. We have some routine/discipline/training revamping to do in the next few weeks. Something's gotta change.
I've been trying to get in bed earlier at night to get in a decent amount of sleep before waking up at the crack of dawn to go walking/running, but it is really cutting into my down-time in the evening. Last night I desperately needed some silly, mindless entertainment. The dirty dinner dishes stayed in the sink, and I watched a movie instead. (GASP!)
The Man Who Knew Too Little is pure silliness.
Bill Murray was cathartic for me. And worth the sink of dirty dishes that faced me this morning.
Next week's Living. Lovely. challenge:
Have a Heart of Gratitude
The unthankful heart... discovers no mercies;
but let the thankful heart sweep through the day
and, as the magnet finds the iron, so it will find,
in every hour, some heavenly blessings!
~Henry Ward Beecher
I watched that movie a few weeks ago and loved it! I'm not great at being silly, but I think your Leif brings it out in me a little! So since he was here yesterday, I probably did manage to be a little silly. I just posted a photo of last week's savor slow food challenge~~ I'm a little late!
e.e. cummings is a great person to get a "silly" quote from!
I really enjoy my "silly." From the lip shaped band-aids I carry in my purse (boo boo kisses!) to the most ridiculous puns (did you hear about the frog who traced his family history back to Warsaw? He was a tad Polish) I think it's actually important to let seriousness out the window now and then. Especially when you are having a rough week (month, year...)
We should talk sometime soon! I've also been feeling the "need" for some retraining in the area of acceptable behavior at our house. And, I've felt the same exact feelings about not having enough downtime after kids are in bed. Hang in there girl! I'm right there with ya~ Tera
